Neighbor count
A cell marked with a small cross containing a number must have exactly that many orthogonal neighbors of the cross's color. The cell itself is not counted — only the four cells directly above, below, left and right.
When the number of free cells around a cross matches the number inside it, all the free cells must take the color of the cross.
When the cross already has the correct number of neighbors of that color, all the free cells must take the opposite color.
